It was woman in her late 20s, first took pictures of the outside. I showed that I managed to break over of the plastic drains while mowing the lawn. She said she can get a quote to fix it from the builders, but it would most likely be in "builder price range". But the quote is free, so why not. When I got the quote it was for 12-man, to replace a 20cm plastic pipe. I think not! I'll pop into Home centre at some point and build a replacement bit. One odd thing that happened though, when the inspector came indoors to go over the inside with me, she of course swapped shoes for slippers, and then locked the door. I can imagine that is perhaps something you just do in Japan, but it stood out as odd to me. What if our genders were reversed? Anyway, we went through the inside details, I showed gaps in the wall paper at a few places, she showed what to get (caulk) and how to fix. I have now done that, and it does not look too bad at all. It managed to also set the roof of the Odakyu train on fire, so that was exciting. The firetrucks did not come down our road, which makes you wonder about the 4m setback rule. The ran long hoses down the road, and around the corner. The fire was contained swiftly, so it is nice to know those guys are excellent at their job. So the gym is being rebuilt, as well as another house on the opposite end of the road.
